Hello Amazing Golden Gate Garrison members!!

It’s that time again — the time when the rains (usually) come, the thermometer (usually) dips a little, and a lot of us start thinking of the green hills, blooming flowers on the horizon…..and……

….LEGION ELECTIONS!!

Yes, I know you’re all overly-giddy about the prospects of yearly Legion elections, and this year we get to have not only Legion, Garrison, and Detachment elections, but also SQUAD ELECTIONS!!! (yay!)

So, with that in mind, here are some rules reminders:

— From the Legion Charter —

1) Legion elections will begin at 12:01am GMT on the 1st Saturday of February.

2) Nominations will be open for 5 days beginning on Saturday and concluding on the Wednesday immediately following.

3) At 12:01am GMT Thursday, the question-and-answer phase begins and runs for 5 days, closing on the Monday immediately following. The next 24 hours are reserved for candidates’ closing statements.

4)Voting will open from Wednesday following the closing statements and be available for 5 days, ending on the following Sunday.

5) The remainder of the month is reserved for transitioning between administrations. Elected candidates will take office at 12:01am GMT on March 1st.

1) NOMINATIONS BEGIN at 4:01pm Friday, February 2nd for us in CA.

2) NOMINATIONS END at 4:01pm Tuesday, February 6th for us in CA.

3a) Q&A OPENS at 4:01pm Wednesday, February 7th for us in CA
3b) Q&A CLOSES at 4:01pm Sunday, February 11th for us in CA

4a) VOTING BEGINS at 4:01pm Tuesday, February 13th for us in CA
4b) VOTING ENDS at 4:01pm Saturday, February 17th for us in CA

5) The rest of the month will be about the transition of administrations, and the new team takes office at 4:01pm Tuesday, February 27 for us in CA

This year, the intention is to hold the elections in our new forums. Yay!!
