Costumes should be “canon” at all times and worn according to the CRLs. If a costume accessory does not appear in the CRLs, it must be pre-approved for use prior to an event.
Pre-approval consists of advising the Event Coordinator no less than (24) hours prior to event call time. Responses to requests will be fielded promptly and a response will be made in the Event Posting and Operations Orders.

NO same day of event submissions and/or request to Command Staff Members, Team Leads, and/or Event Coordinators.
If an event allows / encourages a minor costume temporary adornment such as a patch on a costume for a Relay For Life event, or white lights for a Holiday Lights event, this will be specifically called out and clearly noted in the Event Posting and Operations Orders. If we discover through observation and onsite inspection that the event is being televised then the pre-approval of use of adornments is rescinded immediately if not sooner.

Command Staff Reserves the Right to Change or Modify the Adornment Operations Protocol with Proper Transparency and Communication to Membership.
