Naval Air Facility El Centro (NAFEC) Air Show 2025
HAS BEEN CANCELLED as of 3/10/25

What: The NAFEC Air Show kicks off the 2025 Blue Angels season with an incredible Star Wars costuming presence! Join us for trooping, photo ops, and convention tables alongside participants from multiple clubs and regions. This event has become a favorite for fans and families alike!

Where: Naval Air Facility El Centro (active Navy base), El Centro, California

When: Saturday, March 15, 2025

Who: Hosted by the Imperial Sands Garrison of The 501st Legion. 

Invited groups include:

● Southern California Garrison
● Golden Gate Garrison
● Dune Sea Garrison
● Mexican Garrison
● Neon City Garrison
● Regional chapters of:
○ The Rebel Legion
○ The Mandalorian Mercs
○ Droid Builders
○ Saber Guild
○ Dark Empire
● Imperial Valley Cosplay Group

Why: For over 12 years, Star Wars costuming clubs have been a beloved part of the NAFEC Air Show, bringing joy and excitement to families in attendance. This air show offers the perfect blend of thrilling aerial displays and Star Wars fun!

Additional Details:

● “HQ” House on Base: A house on base will be available for meetups and socializing before and after the Air Show. Limited overnight space is available on Friday and Saturday nights. Details to follow.
● Barracks Accommodations: Self-pay barracks rooms (similar to motel rooms) will also be available for a more private stay. Details will be provided later.
● Day-Only Participants Welcome: Even if you don’t stay overnight, you’re welcome to join! Saturday morning arrivals will be early—specific timing and details will be shared closer to the event.
● Special Note: This year marks the 250th Birthday of the U.S. Navy—an extra reason to celebrate!

IMPORTANT: While all plans are moving forward, please note the federal government is currently budgeted to operate only through March 14, 2025. While unlikely, a last-minute cancellation is possible.
